Yes, this is the movie that (apparently) cursed our class into depression last year.

Ciaossu! posting like crazy since this blog might be deleted?

Heyo folks. I've got a few pics from the chalet posted here.

If you've got pictures to share, please do so :)

Victor, Victrola

I was thinking about our next blogskin when it suddenly struck me that we'll be separated next year, so I was unsure as to whether I should even bother with a new blogskin. For starters, will this blog still be around next year, after we've all been thrust and forced into different environments? Should we delete it by 31/12/07 11.59pm? For it is by then that the entity thereby known as '2G 2007' will officially be...well, non-existent. Destroyed. Replaced by '2G 2008'. (Obviously I am slightly too dramatic and exaggerate a slight bit too much, but it is fun.)

A few have expressed sentiments towards 2G as a whole or their group(s) of friends, so now it is only necessary for someone to be soppy towards individuals. So now I shall proceed to do so, and on what better platform than the class blog?

....

I was going to. I even typed out and bold-ed twenty-five names before highlighting them with my cursor and then backspacing. But I think it's too dangerous. Certain things must remain hidden from everyone else...

Perhaps I shall write everyone emails (how rude). Or nice letters. Or something. Or maybe I shall do nothing..

xoxo

Lost and found

Three silly little girls carelessly left their belongings at the chalet.

1. Nishanti left her green Billabong shirt
2. Alyssa left her school socks
3. Abigail left her red sleeping bag

1 & 2 are in the custody of Patricia while 3 is with Amaris. Be sure to collect your things before they are lost forever.

Oh my gooblenuts, this blog is seriously ugly! I can't stand it anymore! My eyes, my eyes! I promise, promise, promise, I'll change the skin after the chalet!

ZOMG PETRA CUT OFF THE RIBBONS FROM HER TIGHTS! :O

She claims that the reason why is because she hates ribbons. Then pray tell, dear CHUA, why did you buy tights with ribbons in the first place? SCANDALOUS! SECRET DESIRE! STRANGE FETISH! CONFORMITY!

I could care less

Dear all,

Have you seen are post-exam activity schedule? I do believe we have an SBC portfolio sharing session - forgive me if I am wrong. Either way, I do hope that you've started putting things together for your portfolio. I do believe that it's extremely important especially if you're aiming for the IB or the arts scene. Just saying, is all.

Also, we'd get another round of scoldings and disappointed looks if more than half of us didn't even bother with the portfolio, which we were told to start compiling at the start of last year.

Much love,
Patricia

SAUSAGE TIME!WOOF WOOF

There better be lots of food. Must have a wide variety of meat to BBQ and there must be prawns and crab. The most important is sausages. And i dont want those skinny ones form supermarket, i want those thick juicy ones like those from Marche. Chicken wings must be well marinated. Beef must be tender. Seafood must be fresh. If theres fish it must be extra fresh or I will bring back tomorrow and throw at your head. There must be chips. Doritos and Lays kettle chips are a must. There must be ice cream, jellies and chocolate. The chocolate has to be of good quality and must be enough to make a person feel like she is secreting oil.Same for the chips. Oh don't forget fruits. Bring fruit salad. Watermelon water melon, pineapple, pineapple, bananananana, banananana, fruit salad fruit salad*flail*. and some other fruits.
Bring marshmallows and nachos.

There must be sufficient water.
There must be no sleep if theres a sleepover(are we sleeping over?)
If shows are to be watched, bring something that is ultra addictive. Like some TV series. No chinese please. If you want to bring movies make sure its nice. If we are going to watch horror movies, maybe high school musical 2?

I cant think of anymore things suddenly. But dont worry psp, ill tell you when i think of more.

please be a nice girl/thing and do this

In May 2006, human rights defenders from four continents, and from diverse social backgrounds, met in Montreal. Reviewing the results of a wide consultation with NGOs, trade unions, United Nations Member States and specialized agencies, they followed up on a UN General Assembly Resolution aimed at widening the impact of October 17th, International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
They invite all those striving for peace and justice to support this call to action.

Oh, and I'm sorry about the missing wedding photos. Shar hasn't passed them to me yet..I've gotta remember to bug her for it.

OLA!

By now, it's a truism that 2G definitely has issues/problems, but unless there is a major paradigm shift, we'll never do anything about it. Face it, if it isn't "the exams are coming up!", it'll be "there's a test next week!" or "i've got a CCA competition!" or "i'm leaving next year anyway!" or "i don't care!". Yes, a few individuals really want something done and have tried (and given up). Other individuals either don't give a damn, or want something done but are too lazy to do anything, or don't know what to do, or don't dare to do anything.

There'll always be another time to do it, another person to do it, another place to do it. Whenever teachers talk about it, we all nod our heads, try to identify the problem, promise each other we'll change but *poof*. Once the teacher leaves, we suddenly realise that there's a History test next week and we've gotta study so let someone else do it!

Our problem, the reason why we can't solve the other problems, is that we're too self-absorbed, too obsessed with the tangible, too selfish. We don't want to lift a finger to do anything, because we've got lots and lots of work to do, and even when someone else tries, we can't help or cooperate because there's still my tuition homework! Even during the December holidays, some couldn't be bothered to show up for our class gathering because you're too lazy, or your friend isn't going because she's overseas.

We all want something to be done so that teachers will stop nagging, so that the class will be more comfortable, but it plays second hand to our results. Our results are more important than the class dynamics, aren't they?

We pretend to be united, but we aren't. We love ourselves too much, our results. Ultimately, we're in school to get an education, and class dynamics won't help our O level results, will they?

Patricia's tired, Shar's tired, Gillian's tired, Kimberly's tired, only Petra's not tired; Fine, go ahead. Be this way. Nothing's changed you before, nothing will change you now.

Ace the O levels, then ace the A levels/IB; but don't come crying when you can't work because your office has 'bad dynamics', don't come crying when you're getting a divorce because your marriage has 'bad dynamics', don't come crying when your kids hate you because your relationship with them has 'bad dynamics'. Your grades gonna save you then, princesses?

A big zaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank uuuuuuuuuu (thank you) to all those who came down yesterday to support :) It must've been terribly boring for most of you, since debate was boring to me before I understood the dynamics, etc.

The debate wasn't done very well on both sides. It was terrible and painful and we were so sure that HCI would win on a technicality but... somehow we pulled through. Must be the well-wishes of all the supporters who came down XD

oh dear

Dear Patricia,

I am so so so sorry. I promise you, I will never do anything like that again.

Dear everyone else,

It was just a joke, inspired by a few coincidences but nothing more. Affections of that sort were never present between the two parties.

everybody loves BP!

Be Yourself Day was good! :)

The day 2G couples got 'married'.
Although the music was screwed, and I think all of us were quite disappointed we couldn't give the teachers a good performance, we had fun right!
(Okay, everybody goes yes here)

Here's to all our teachers (not that they'll see this):
A big thank you for the 1 1/2 years so far, as much as our class has been difficult (or rather just me, haha).

From the orientation camp to class parties to the BBQ that was held at Amaris' house to going to wisma as a (almost everyone) class to get clothes for family night, dancing and being very enthusiastic about family night all the way to yesterday, blue & red face paint, dancing to funny music :P, taking 'wedding' photos, all were enjoyable despite differences.

Not sure about all of you, but yeah that's what I feel. ;)

EOYs are coming real soon, and for people who haven't started studying like me, it's time.
I'm the worst example for anyone to follow, ha.
To those who have, add oil, literally.

Hope to see the pretty women & handsome men (excluding me) here soon!
:D

Happy holidays!

-gillian

History has been made: Denise Chong Xiu Bing did not bring her beloved tuna sandwiches (which we mooch off of her every time she does so) today. Zomg. The tuna lover has lost her tuna!

On a side note, Mrs Hor used to be an HI (House Inspector?) She has her old police uniform and still has a warrant, meaning she can legally inspect our homes.

let's invent a cure for menstrual cramps

"Al pacino chua: Eh! Hu is achibubu and god?"

There is something all too amusing about the above statement. Playing on double-definitions, it could be the most shallow question, or the most deep. Of course, for Petra it was not really meant in the latter way..

Anyway, yes this blog is half-dying and I suddenly don't like the feel/ambiance of it anymore. Maybe I shall change the blog skin, but no, we all love Petra's chin too much. Alternatively, I could just change the colour scheme to red or some other gaudy apt colour.

Or I could put Petra's whole face (insert rude snigger here).

And to Blau, I honestly doubt that the two read this blog. Either that or they're just not tagging, which is not a nice thing to do, especially when it's a class blog. Hmph.
